What you can schedule
A scheduled message is a channel, a time, and what to post. The message can be plain text, a rich embed, or both:
- Title, description and colour
- An image and a thumbnail
- An optional role mention, for the announcements that genuinely warrant one
Timezones, properly
Every schedule carries its own timezone. This matters more than it sounds: a rules reminder set for 9am is set for 9am where your community is, not wherever the server happens to run, and it stays at 9am across daylight saving changes. Schedules are checked every minute, so a message posts at the minute you asked for it.
What people use it for
- Recurring rules and safety reminders
- Event and stream announcements
- Weekly check-ins and community prompts
- Reminding members that staff will never DM them first — which is worth pairing with DM scam prevention, because a reminder members have read is the part of that defence a bot can actually deliver.
